Daryl Tschoumy-Nana: Djurgarden sign teenage centre-back from VfL Bochum U19 on free transfer

Djurgarden have completed the signing of German-Cameroonian defender Daryl Tschoumy-Nana from VfL Bochum U19 on a free transfer for the 2026-27 season.

The 19-year-old centre-back moves from the German U19 Nachwuchsliga to the Swedish Allsvenskan, joining Djurgarden after progressing through the youth ranks at Bochum. The deal is registered as a free transfer, with no fee disclosed between the clubs.

Born in Hagen on 17 January 2007, Tschoumy-Nana stands at 1.89m and is listed primarily as a central defender. He is eligible to represent both Germany and Cameroon at international level and is now part of Djurgardens senior set-up.

Tschoumy-Nana has spent his development years within the VfL Bochum system. He moved from Bochums youth team to their U17 side in 2023, before stepping up to the U19 squad ahead of the 2024-25 campaign. His transfer to Djurgarden marks his first move outside Germany and his first switch into a top-flight senior league environment.

The defender joins a Djurgarden side competing in Swedens Allsvenskan, transitioning from youth competition in the U19 Nachwuchsliga Group G to a fully professional league. His arrival adds a tall, teenage central option to the Stockholm clubs defensive resources.

Tschoumy-Nanas move from Bochums academy structure to Djurgarden is confirmed as a permanent transfer, with registration dated 7 July 2026.
