Ibrahim Fomba: EA Guingamp B sign young centre-back from Paris FC B on free transfer
EA Guingamp B have signed centre-back Ibrahim Fomba from Paris FC B on a free transfer, completing a move for the 20-year-old defender ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Fomba, who stands at 1.86m and is right-footed, joins the Breton clubs reserve side after one season with Paris FC B. The French-Malian defender is listed primarily as a central defender and strengthens Guingamps options in the heart of their back line.
Born in Bondy on 28 February 2006, Fomba holds both French and Malian nationality. His switch to Guingamp B marks the latest step in a steady rise through the French youth and reserve system, moving from youth football into senior reserve level before this latest move.
Fomba progressed through the ranks at Paris FC after arriving from FC Montfermeils U17 side in 2023. He initially joined Paris FCs U19 setup before stepping up to Paris FC B for the 2025-26 season, earning a subsequent move to Guingamps reserve team in 2026.
Before his time in the Paris system, Fomba developed at AS Bondys youth ranks, a club known for its role in nurturing young talent in the Paris region. His move from Bondy to Montfermeil in 2022 began a sequence of successive advances through competitive youth levels that has now taken him to Guingamp.
Fombas transfer continues a pattern of internal French moves in his early career, with each step bringing him into more competitive environments and higher age categories. His arrival at EA Guingamp B adds a young, physically imposing central defender with experience in several respected youth setups in France.
The deal confirms Fomba as the latest defensive recruit for EA Guingamp B on a free transfer from Paris FC B.
