Watford striker Mamadou Doumbia is attracting growing interest from several European clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, with a move away from the English side increasingly seen as a realistic possibility.

According to transfer insider Rudy Galetti, multiple teams across Germany and France are monitoring the 20-year-old Malian forward as they assess potential attacking reinforcements.

Among the clubs reportedly interested are RB Leipzig, TSG Hoffenheim, Hamburger SV and Ligue 1 side AS Monaco, all of whom are keeping close tabs on the young striker’s development.

European interest grows ahead of transfer window

Doumbia, who remains under contract with Watford until June 2029, has emerged as one of the club’s promising attacking options despite a modest return last season.

The striker scored five goals and provided one assist in 33 competitive appearances across all competitions during the campaign.

His performances have reportedly caught the attention of scouts across Europe, with a summer transfer now considered a strong possibility depending on negotiations between clubs.

Transfermarkt currently values the forward at around €4 million, reflecting both his potential and his current development stage.

Watford yet to respond to speculation

While speculation continues to grow, Watford have not yet made any public statement regarding a potential departure for the 20-year-old.

The Championship side are expected to evaluate their squad options ahead of the new season, with Doumbia’s future likely to depend on the level of interest and offers received in the coming weeks.

For now, the striker remains part of Watford’s long-term plans on paper, but increasing attention from Bundesliga and Ligue 1 clubs suggests a decisive summer could be ahead.
