Brahim Diaz: Fenerbahce linked with move for Real Madrid winger
Morocco-Spain right winger Brahim Diaz of Real Madrid is being linked with a summer move to Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce, with his contractual situation at the Bernabeu described as unclear and raising the prospect he could eventually leave as a free agent.
The 26-year-old, who was born in Malaga and stands at 1.70m, is currently valued at 35.00m on Transfermarkt, a figure that will form the backdrop to any negotiations. The rumour, logged on 5 July 2026, lists the probability of a transfer as ?, underlining that talks are at a speculative stage and there is no agreed fee or contract yet between the clubs or the player.
Diazs current Real Madrid deal has no publicly listed expiry date, and there is no confirmation of an extension, leaving room for rival clubs to monitor whether he could run down his contract and move later as a free agent. Fenerbahces interest comes with the Istanbul club again active in the market for attacking players who can operate across the frontline.
Capable of playing mainly as an attack-minded right winger and comfortable on both feet, Diaz has built a varied career across Europes top leagues. After leaving Malaga CFs youth ranks for Manchester City as a teenager in 2014, he progressed through Citys youth sides to the first team before joining Real Madrid in January 2019.
A three-year spell on loan at AC Milan between 2020 and 2023 proved pivotal, with Diazs market value rising as high as 25.00m during his time in Serie A. Since returning to Madrid in June 2023, his valuation has fluctuated but has remained at 35.00m since June 2025.
Diaz, who holds both Moroccan and Spanish nationality, has featured for Real Madrid throughout the 2025-26 campaign, including their most recent LaLiga fixture in late May 2026, when he started on the right in a 2-1 home win over Real Betis, contributing a series of chance-creating dribbles but no goal involvement.
With Fenerbahce exploring whether a deal is feasible now or in a future window, the coming months will indicate if Diaz stays to fight for minutes in Madrid or uses a move to Istanbul to redefine his role and status at the top level of European football.
