Iyed Hadj Khalifa: ES Sahel linked with move for Tunisia striker from Dinamo Tbilisi
Tunisia centre-forward Iyed Hadj Khalifa, currently on loan at Georgian side Gori FC from Dinamo Tbilisi, has been linked with a return to Ligue 1 with ES Sahel, according to transfer data from Transfermarkt.
The 26-year-old, born in Sousse and standing at 1.92m, only joined Dinamo Tbilisi from Union Sportive de Ben Guerdane in February 2026 before being sent out on an active loan to Gori FC in March. His loan is scheduled to end on 31 December 2026, when he is due to return to the Erovnuli Liga club, and no contract expiry date is currently listed a situation that could become significant if negotiations stall and he moves closer to free agent status.
Hadj Khalifas current market value is put at 200,000, down from a peak of 350,000 in June 2025 during his spell with US Monastir. ES Sahels interest, logged on 5 July 2026 with no stated probability (?), comes at a time when his valuation has dipped following a rapid sequence of moves in Tunisia and Georgia.
The right-footed centre-forward has built his career entirely between Tunisia and Georgia, progressing from US Tataouines U21s to their first team in 2021, then moving through ES Rades, CS Hammam-Lif, US Monastir and Ben Guerdane before heading abroad to Dinamo Tbilisi earlier this year.
In Georgia, he has been featuring for Gori FC in the top flight, with his most recent outing coming in the Erovnuli Liga against Dinamo Batumi on 29 June 2026, a 1-1 draw in which he led the line but did not score. His performances there will be closely watched as ES Sahel weigh up whether to formalise their interest.
If ES Sahel do move, a deal close to his 200,000 valuation or a strategically timed contract decision at Dinamo Tbilisi could shape the next stage of Hadj Khalifas career back in Tunisian football.
