Usman Simbakoli is set to join Angers from RWDM after agreeing a three-year contract.

Angers are set to strengthen their attacking options with the signing of Central African striker Usman Simbakoli, who is expected to undergo a medical on Friday before completing his move to the Ligue 1 club.

The forward is close to joining Angers after the two parties reached an agreement on a three-year contract.

Barring any unexpected issues during his medical examination, the transfer is expected to be finalised and officially announced in the coming days.

According to information from Sacha Tavolieri, Simbakoli is scheduled to complete the final stages of the move before putting pen to paper on his contract with the French club.

The proposed transfer represents another step in Angers’ preparations for the new season as the club looks to reinforce its attacking department.

Simbakoli has emerged as the player identified to provide additional options in the final third, with the club now close to securing his signature.

To complete the deal, Angers will pay around €250,000 to Belgian side RWDM, where the striker is currently under contract.

The fee represents a relatively modest investment for a player the club believes can make an impact in its attacking setup during the upcoming campaign.

Should the medical examination proceed without complications, Simbakoli will become Angers’ latest addition ahead of the new Ligue 1 season.

Medical expected before transfer is completed

The final stage of the move centres on the player’s medical examination, which is expected to take place on Friday.

Once that process has been successfully completed, Simbakoli is expected to sign the three-year agreement already negotiated between the player and Angers.

The club is then anticipated to formally unveil the striker as its newest signing, bringing an end to negotiations that have moved steadily towards completion.

Angers invest in attacking reinforcement

Angers’ decision to recruit Simbakoli reflects the club’s intention to strengthen its forward line ahead of the new campaign.

The transfer fee of approximately €250,000 represents a measured investment as the Ligue 1 side seeks to add another attacking option to its squad.

Club officials will now hope the striker can establish himself as an important part of the team’s attacking plans once the transfer is completed.

Previous interest in Simbakoli

The striker has previously attracted attention from elsewhere in France.

A few months ago, Stade Lavallois had identified Simbakoli as a potential target, according to exclusive information from Africafoot.

That interest ultimately did not result in a transfer, leaving Angers in a position to move for the Central African forward.

With personal terms already agreed and only the medical examination remaining, Simbakoli now appears set to begin the next chapter of his career in Ligue 1.
