Serhou Guirassy: Fenerbahce eye move for Dortmund and Guinea-France striker

Guinea-France centre-forward Serhou Guirassy of Borussia Dortmund is being linked with a summer move to Turkish side Fenerbahce, with the 30-year-old reportedly a 51% chance to complete the switch from the Bundesliga to the Super Lig.

The Dortmund No 9, valued at £32.00m on Transfermarkt, is under contract with the German club but his deal has no listed expiry date, fuelling speculation he could yet run down his terms and move closer to free-agent status in a future window. For now, the Istanbul club are said to be exploring what it would take to tempt the right-footed striker away from Germany.

Born in Arles on 12 March 1996 and standing at 1.87m, Guirassy has represented both Guinea and France at different levels and has built a reputation as a powerful, penalty-box forward. He joined Dortmund after emerging as one of the Bundesliga’s most prolific scorers, and his market value has climbed to £32.00m on the back of that form.

In his most recent appearance for Dortmund, against Bundesliga opposition earlier this year, Guirassy featured in a tight contest that underlined his role as the focal point of the attack, contributing with his hold-up play and movement even as the match finished level on the night. The performance maintained his status as a regular starter in a Dortmund side competing at the top end of the German league and in Europe.

Fenerbahce, long in search of a reliable leading striker for their Super Lig title pushes, view the dual-national attacker as a potential marquee signing. While no agreement is in place and the move remains at rumour stage, a transfer to Istanbul would represent a fresh chapter for Guirassy and could prove decisive in shaping the next peak years of his career and his standing in both European and Turkish football if it goes through.
