Kévin Denkey attracts multiple interest

Togolese forward Kévin Denkey could be set for a return to European football after attracting interest from several clubs across Europe’s top leagues following his impressive performances in Major League Soccer.

The 25-year-old striker, who currently plays for FC Cincinnati, has reportedly emerged as a target for a number of clubs in England, France, Spain and Germany.

Among the teams said to be monitoring the Togolese international is Tottenham Hotspur FC, with the Premier League side believed to be impressed by the striker’s form in the United States.

In France, newly promoted Paris FC and Ligue 1 outfit LOSC Lille are also reportedly keeping tabs on the former Cercle Brugge forward.

Spanish club Real Betis are understood to be interested as well, while German giants Borussia Dortmund are said to be closely monitoring the striker’s progress.

Denkey only left Cercle Brugge KSV in 2025 to join FC Cincinnati, but his strong displays in MLS have quickly reignited European interest. The powerful striker has scored nine goals and provided two assists this season, establishing himself as one of the standout attacking performers in the league.

Known for his physical presence, finishing ability and intelligent movement, Denkey has continued to enhance his reputation since moving to the United States, with several clubs now viewing him as a potential attacking reinforcement ahead of the new season.

Despite the growing interest, FC Cincinnati remain in a strong position as the Togolese international is contracted to the club until December 2028. Any team hoping to secure his signature may therefore have to meet a significant transfer fee to convince the MLS side to sell.
