Wolfsberg FC, a prominent Austrian Bundesliga club, has officially welcomed Ivorian sensation Sankara Karamoko into its ranks. The 20-year-old center forward bids farewell to ASEC Mimosas, his training ground in Ivory Coast, as he embarks on an exciting journey with the Lavanttal-based club. The announcement of Karamoko’s signing was made via an official statement on Wolfsberg FC’s website.

Having traversed the entire training structure at ASEC Mimosas, Karamoko brings a wealth of talent and promise to Wolfsberg FC.

The 1.75m Ivorian center forward penned a contract that binds him to the Austrian club until 2027, pending the successful completion of his upcoming medical examination.

Wolfsberg FC’s Sporting Director, Manfred Schmid, shed light on the intricacies of securing Karamoko’s transfer. With the potential departure of Mo Bamba on the horizon, the club meticulously explored alternatives, ultimately zeroing in on the young Ivorian talent.

In an official statement, Schmid articulated the rationale behind the choice, stating, “Sankara Karamoko impressed in the video study, and that is why we decided to choose him together with those responsible. He is a good technical player with exceptional speed and therefore fits our idea of the game well.”

Sankara Karamoko’s footballing journey began at ASEC Mimosas, where renowned players such as Salomon Kalou, Gervinho, and Yaya and Kolo Touré have previously honed their skills.

Now, the young U20 international is set to make his mark in European football with Wolfsberg FC, adding a new chapter to his burgeoning career.

As the Ivorian striker ventures into this pivotal juncture of his professional trajectory, football enthusiasts eagerly anticipate witnessing his prowess unfold on the Austrian football stage.
