Young Algerian forward Ben Ahmed Kohili sparks transfer battle in France
French clubs are closely tracking Algerian forward Ben Ahmed Kohili following a promising campaign with Paradou AC, with growing interest expected to intensify ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old striker has emerged as one of the more closely watched young talents in Algerian football after a season that has put him on the radar of several teams in France.
Among the clubs monitoring his progress is AS Saint-Étienne. The French side are reportedly assessing Kohili as part of a recruitment strategy focused on developing young players with high potential, viewing him as a possible long-term addition to their squad.
However, Saint-Étienne are not alone in their interest. FC Metz are also following the striker closely and could consider making a move when the transfer window opens.
Other clubs in France are understood to be keeping tabs on his performances as his reputation continues to grow.
Kohili has impressed despite limited opportunities on the pitch this season. He has recorded four goals and one assist in 10 appearances, including six starts, underlining a level of efficiency that has drawn attention from scouts.
Developed at Paradou AC, a club known for producing several Algerian internationals, Kohili is continuing a pathway that has previously seen players progress to European football. His technical profile and attacking output have contributed to his rising valuation.
The forward is under contract until 2028 and is currently valued at around €400,000, according to available estimates.
With interest increasing, Kohili is expected to become a notable name in the upcoming transfer discussions involving Algerian talent moving to Europe.
It remains uncertain whether the striker will make the step to European football this summer or continue his development in Algeria before considering a move abroad at a later stage in his career.
