Senegalese midfielder Rassoul Ndiaye has expressed his hope of being selected for the national team’s squad ahead of the next World Cup, describing the possibility as an “incredible honour”.
Speaking in the mixed zone after Le Havre AC’s 1-0 defeat to Olympique de Marseille at the Stade Océane, Ndiaye reflected on the upcoming squad announcement and his ambitions to represent Senegal on the global stage.

“Of course, every Senegalese player who is fit to play is thinking about it. We will follow this closely and if it doesn’t happen, we will continue to work. And if we go, it will be the result of our work,” Ndiaye said.

“It is an incredible honor to play for the nation, so for the World Cup it is even better. We hope that it will materialize,” he added.
