Ali Badra Diabaté in action for Samsunspor

Samsunspor have ruled out the sale of Ali Badra Diabaté after attracting interest from European clubs, with the Turkish side determined to keep hold of the young Ivorian talent.

The 19-year-old forward, who joined the club during the winter transfer window from Leader Sporting Club de Marcory, has quickly integrated into his new environment despite limited playing time.

His early performances have been enough to convince the club’s leadership of his long-term value.

Although he has featured only sparingly since his arrival, Diabaté is already viewed internally as a player for the future.

His age, development trajectory and technical qualities have positioned him as a key component in Samsunspor’s plans as they look to build a competitive squad capable of progressing both domestically and potentially on the European stage.

Interest in the Ivory Coast U23 international has not gone unnoticed. Several clubs have been monitoring his situation, with offers already emerging as teams attempt to secure his signature early in his career.

However, Samsunspor president Yüksel Yıldırım has taken a firm stance on the matter, making it clear that the club has no intention of parting with the player at this stage.

Speaking about the growing interest, he stated: “Lorient have offered 3 million euros for Ali Badra Diabaté. Zenit want him, but I won’t let him go.”

The statement underlines the club’s commitment to retaining Diabaté as part of a longer-term project. With a contract running until June 2029, Samsunspor are in a strong position to resist external approaches and allow the player to continue his development within their system.

The strategy appears to focus on nurturing his potential before considering any future transfer, ensuring both sporting and financial benefits in the long run.

For Diabaté, remaining at the club could provide the stability needed to further establish himself and gain consistent playing time.

Since his move, the young forward has made eight appearances, accumulating 252 minutes on the pitch and registering one assist.

While those numbers remain modest, they reflect a gradual integration process rather than a lack of confidence from the coaching staff.

As interest continues to grow, Samsunspor’s position remains unchanged, with the club prioritising development over immediate financial gain.

For now, Diabaté’s future appears firmly tied to the Turkish side as he continues to build his career.
