The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed match details and key officials for the first leg of the CAF Champions League final between Mamelodi Sundowns and AS FAR.

The highly anticipated encounter is scheduled to take place on 17 May at the iconic Loftus Versfeld Stadium, with kick-off set for 16:00 GMT.

CAF has appointed experienced Congolese referee Jean Jacques Ndala Ngambo to take charge of proceedings in what is expected to be a fiercely contested clash between two of the continent’s most in-form sides.

Supporting him on video review duties will be Abdalaziz Yasir Ahmed, who has been named as the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) for the match.

Meanwhile, Desmond Maringwa will serve as Match Commissioner, overseeing organizational and regulatory aspects of the fixture.

The first leg in Pretoria is expected to set the tone for the two-legged final, with Sundowns aiming to capitalize on home advantage, while AS FAR look to secure a crucial result on the road ahead of the return fixture.
