Al Ahly are preparing for a possible shake-up in their squad at the end of the current season, with the club’s management reportedly willing to consider offers for several first-team players as part of a broader evaluation of the team’s structure.

According to the plan, the club is open to allowing a number of stars to leave should suitable proposals arrive, particularly if the players themselves express a desire to pursue new opportunities.

Among the names understood to be most likely to attract interest are Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Emam Ashour, Ashraf Ben Sharqi, Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan, and Marwan Attia, as Al Ahly reassess their squad ahead of the next campaign.

The club’s approach is said to be straightforward: any official offer will be reviewed, and players will be given the final say if they wish to depart, provided the move aligns with the interests of all parties involved.

Al Ahly are also adopting a flexible financial stance, with decisions on potential exits expected to be guided by the highest available offer, without setting a fixed valuation ceiling, in a bid to maximise returns from any transfers.

Meanwhile, attention in Egyptian football is also turning to the highly anticipated Cairo derby between Zamalek and Al Ahly in the 2025–2026 Egyptian Premier League season.

The match is set to take place at Cairo International Stadium on Friday, May 1, at 8:00 PM local time, as part of the fifth round of the championship stage.

The encounter carries major significance in the title race, with Zamalek leading the table, followed closely by Pyramids, while Al Ahly sit third and Ceramica Cleopatra remain in contention in fourth place, setting up a tightly contested battle at the top of the standings.
