Schalke 04 eye move for Senegal forward Demba Seck
Senegalese forward Demba Seck has emerged as a transfer target for German outfit, Schalke 04 ahead of the summer transfer window.
Currently on loan at Partizan Belgrade, Seck’s future remains uncertain as his temporary spell in Serbia winds down. The loan agreement is expected to expire at the end of the season, but there is growing doubt over whether Partizan will activate their option to make the move permanent.
At the same time, his parent club Torino F.C. are also not believed to have made any firm decision regarding his long-term role in their squad, leaving the attacker in a delicate position heading into the off-season.
However, amid the uncertainty, interest from Germany is beginning to intensify. FC Schalke 04, who are currently leading the 2. Bundesliga and pushing for a return to the top flight, are closely monitoring Seck’s situation.
The Gelsenkirchen-based club are reportedly considering him as a potential addition to strengthen their attacking options should they secure promotion to the Bundesliga. Schalke’s recruitment strategy is expected to focus on affordable but high-upside players capable of adapting quickly to top-level competition.
Seck could fit that profile perfectly, and a key factor in the potential deal is a release clause believed to be set at around €2 million—a fee well within Schalke’s financial reach if promotion is achieved.
The Senegalese striker’s pace and direct style have attracted attention across Europe in recent years, and Schalke’s interest represents a potential opportunity for him to reset his career in one of Europe’s most competitive leagues.
For now, Seck remains focused on finishing his loan spell at Partizan Belgrade, but with multiple uncertainties surrounding his future in Italy and Serbia, a move to Germany is increasingly seen as a realistic next step.
