Youssef Belammari sidelined with injury

Al Ahly SC have confirmed that defender Youssef Belammari is currently sidelined with an injury, following medical examinations conducted by the club’s staff.

According to team doctor Ahmed Gaballah, the Moroccan left-back has sustained a first-degree tear at the origin of the left adductor muscle, ruling him out of action for an unspecified period.

Rehabilitation Plan Underway

Belammari is set to begin a structured physiotherapy and rehabilitation programme in the coming days, with the aim of regaining full fitness before returning to team training.

The club’s medical team will closely monitor his recovery progress before determining a timeline for his return to competitive action.

Missed Fixture Against ZED FC

The injury had already forced Belammari to miss Al Ahly’s recent match against ZED FC at El Tetsh Stadium on Monday.

Following the fixture, the player underwent further tests to assess the extent of the problem, confirming the muscle tear diagnosis.

Early Impact Since January Move

Since joining Al Ahly from Raja CA during the winter transfer window on January 22, Belammari has made 11 appearances for the club.

His absence will be a setback for the team as they navigate a crucial phase of the season, with the medical staff now focused on ensuring a safe and complete recovery.
