3,000 Wydad supporters to be in the stands for their next game

Kawkab Marrakech have confirmed that 3,000 tickets have been allocated to supporters of Wydad AC ahead of their upcoming Botola Pro encounter.

The match, scheduled for Saturday at 20:00, will take place at the Grand Stade de Marrakech, with a capacity crowd expected as approximately 30,000 tickets go on sale.

The pricing structure has been clearly outlined. Wydad supporters will occupy the North Stand with tickets priced at 60 DH, while home fans in the South and East stands will pay 30 DH. Seats in the West Stand are set at 100 DH, with VIP access going for 200 DH.

The allocation ensures a strong travelling presence from Wydad while maintaining crowd control and security for what promises to be a high-intensity fixture.

Title Race Adds Extra Edge

The significance of the match extends beyond the stands, with Wydad firmly in the title race. The Casablanca giants currently sit fourth on 30 points, level with rivals Raja CA and AS FAR Rabat, and just one point behind leaders Maghreb de Fès.

With such a tight race at the top, any slip-up could prove costly as the season approaches its decisive phase.

Kawkab Marrakech, on the other hand, find themselves in a very different position. Sitting 10th with just one point, they are still searching for consistency, particularly on home soil.

Mixed Signals from Both Camps

For Wydad, the stakes are clear. Victory is essential to keep pace in the title race. There is, however, a boost ahead of the clash, with Hakim Ziyech returning to training and potentially strengthening the squad for the crucial run-in.

Kawkab Marrakech approach the game under a cloud of internal tension. Head coach Hicham Dmii has been referred to the ethics committee just days before kickoff, adding off-field pressure to their preparations.

Despite this, there have been encouraging signs on the pitch. A recent goalless draw against AS FAR highlighted their defensive organisation and resilience.

A Fixture That Could Surprise

While Wydad claimed a narrow 1-0 victory in their first meeting earlier this season, courtesy of a goal from Walid Sabbar, Kawkab have already proven they can upset their opponents, having secured a 2-0 win in February 2025 in the Excellence Cup.

With contrasting ambitions, off-field tensions, and recent history between the sides, this encounter in Marrakech carries all the ingredients of an unpredictable and potentially decisive clash.
