Andy Diouf in the spotlight at Inter Milan ahead of summer transfer window

Inter Milan have begun shaping their squad for next season, with midfield adjustments expected as part of a broader restructuring.

One of the key names on the club’s radar is Ederson of Atalanta, a player admired for his energy and technical quality. His potential arrival would add further depth to an already competitive midfield unit.

However, with established figures like Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella expected to remain central to the project, space within the squad will need to be created.

That situation has placed Andy Diouf under scrutiny. The midfielder, who joined Inter from RC Lens last summer for around €20 million, has struggled to make a significant impact in his debut campaign.

His numbers reflect a limited role, with just 15 league appearances and 24 across all competitions, totalling 622 minutes and three goals. While flashes of potential have been evident, his overall contribution has fallen short of expectations.

As a result, Inter are now considering multiple options regarding his future. A loan move remains a possibility, allowing the club to retain control of a young player while giving him more consistent playing time. At the same time, a permanent transfer is also on the table, particularly if offers close to their initial investment materialise.

The final decision will likely depend on incoming transfer activity and financial considerations, especially if a move for Ederson progresses. For now, Diouf’s future remains uncertain as Inter weigh their next steps in the market.
