Nicolas Jackson could sign permanent deal with Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich could yet reconsider their stance on Nicolas Jackson, with head coach Vincent Kompany reportedly stepping in to argue for the striker’s future at the club.

Jackson, who is currently on loan from Chelsea FC, had been widely expected to leave at the end of the season as Bayern looked to bring in a younger backup option for Harry Kane. However, the situation appears to be shifting behind the scenes.

According to reports, Kompany is a strong admirer of the Senegalese forward and is pushing internally to retain him. The Bayern coach values Jackson’s versatility across the frontline, as well as his efficiency in front of goal.

Despite limited minutes, Jackson has delivered an impressive return, contributing 13 goal involvements in just over 1,000 minutes of action. His impact has strengthened Kompany’s case that he can be a valuable squad option moving forward.

The main obstacle, however, remains financial. Bayern would need to activate a reported €60 million purchase option to make the deal permanent, while also covering a significant salary package estimated at €14 million per year.

For now, Bayern’s hierarchy remain cautious about committing such resources to a player likely to play a supporting role. The coming months will be decisive as Kompany continues to push for a rethink, leaving Jackson’s future in Munich hanging in the balance.
