Mohamed Raouf opens up on Ismaily relegation battle

President of Ismaily SC Mohamed Raouf says it will not be the end of the world should his outfit suffer relegation from the Egyptian Premier League at the end of the current seaso0n.

Ismaily currently sit bottom on the league standings and will have to play above themselves to survive relegation at the end of the season.

“As a fan of Ismaily Club, I don’t like the team to reach the stage of relegation, but let’s be realistic, if this matter is imposed on us to be relegated, it will not be the end of the world, and we are sure that the fans will be behind the club. This has happened to many teams, and it happened once in the club’s history, and it was promoted to the league as quickly as possible.”

His comments reflect the gravity of the club’s current position, with Ismaily struggling at the bottom end of the table and facing a real battle to avoid the drop. Despite the pressure, the president struck a tone of cautious optimism, pointing to the club’s history of resilience and the unwavering support of its fanbase.

Raouf’s remarks come at a time when Ismaily’s performances have raised serious concerns, with results failing to match expectations. Yet, his message suggests that even in the worst-case scenario, the club is prepared to regroup and fight its way back.

For Ismaily supporters, the statement is both a warning and a rallying call—acknowledging the danger while reinforcing belief that the club can recover, just as it has done before.
