Moroccan international Abdessamad Ezzalzouli could be set for a return to FC Barcelona, with the club reportedly considering activating a buy-back option as part of its summer transfer strategy.

Barcelona are planning to strengthen multiple areas of their squad ahead of the next season, with a focus on both attacking and defensive reinforcements.

The Spanish side are also working towards completing the permanent signing of João Cancelo, as they look to reshape their team.

According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, the club intends to recruit a striker, a winger and a defender during the upcoming transfer window.

Within these plans, the possibility of bringing Ezzalzouli back to the Camp Nou has emerged as a viable option.

The club retains a buy-back clause in his contract, as well as a 50% sell-on clause tied to Real Betis, where the player is currently plying his trade.

Ezzalzouli has enjoyed a productive campaign, underlining why Barcelona may be keen to revisit his situation. In La Liga, he has registered six goals and five assists across 22 appearances, starting 19 of those matches.

His contributions have extended into European competition, where he has scored four goals and provided one assist in 12 Europa League appearances, including nine starts.

These performances have reinforced his reputation as a dynamic attacking option, capable of influencing games both domestically and on the continental stage.

His development since leaving Barcelona has not gone unnoticed, and his current form has brought renewed attention to the contractual clauses that could facilitate his return.

Barcelona’s transfer plans remain in progress, with several priorities to address before the start of the new season.

The potential return of Ezzalzouli forms part of a broader strategy aimed at strengthening the squad across key positions, while balancing existing agreements and financial considerations.

As discussions continue, it remains to be seen whether the club will move forward with the option to bring the Moroccan winger back, or pursue alternative targets in their efforts to reinforce the team.
