Moroccan teenager Ilian Hadidi set for big move

Ilian Hadidi is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about young prospects in European football, with several of the continent’s biggest clubs reportedly monitoring his development closely.

The 17-year-old midfielder, currently on the books of Standard de Liège, has attracted widespread attention as his contract situation enters a crucial phase. His performances at youth level, combined with standout displays for Morocco’s U17 national team, have significantly boosted his reputation.

According to Belgian outlet DH Les Sports, elite European sides are already positioning themselves for a potential move. Real Madrid are reported to have made initial contact through intermediaries, while interest is also said to be growing in France, with Paris Saint-Germain, Lille OSC, and AS Monaco all keeping a close eye on his progress.

In Germany, both FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also reportedly in the mix, while Dutch giants Ajax, PSV Eindhoven, Feyenoord, along with Belgium’s Club Brugge, complete a long list of interested clubs tracking his situation.

Hadidi’s appeal lies in his versatility and maturity beyond his years. Primarily an attacking midfielder, he is also capable of operating deeper as a central or defensive midfielder, giving coaches tactical flexibility. His performances at the UNAF U17 tournament further highlighted his quality, where he earned Man of the Match honours in Morocco’s 3-0 win over Algeria.

At club level, he has continued to impress, scoring six goals in 15 appearances for Standard de Liège’s U18 side this season.

Standard are keen to secure his future and are reportedly working on a contract extension that could include promotion to the first team as early as this summer. However, with Europe’s top clubs circling, the coming weeks could prove decisive in shaping the next step of Hadidi’s promising career.
