FC Barcelona have secured the signing of highly rated Moroccan youngster Ayoub Hilali, with the 14-year-old forward joining the club’s renowned academy, La Masia, in a significant step forward in his budding career.

Widely regarded as one of the most exciting talents of his generation, Hilali makes the move from CF Badalona and will immediately slot into Barcelona’s Cadet B side at the U15 level.

The deal, confirmed on April 8, sees the young attacker commit to a three-year development agreement that will run until 2029.

Hilali has already begun to generate attention for his impressive technical qualities and attacking versatility. While naturally a forward, he is capable of operating in multiple offensive roles, whether as a creative No. 10, a central striker, or out wide on either flank.

Those within the club describe him as a technically refined player with a strong sense of adaptability, traits that align seamlessly with Barcelona’s trademark possession-based philosophy.

His integration into the academy is also supported by a comprehensive development structure, which includes sporting guidance, education, and residential support within La Masia.

The pathway he now enters has recently produced a new wave of first-team talent, including Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsí, and Marc Bernal, all of whom have made the step up under head coach Hansi Flick.

Barcelona are also believed to be reinforcing their long-term commitment to youth development through structured contract models, including progressive release clauses that can rise significantly as players break into the senior team.

This approach underlines the club’s confidence in its academy pipeline and its determination to nurture the next generation of elite talent.
