CAF Confederation Cup: Zamalek vice president Hisham Nasr declares readiness for CR Belouizdad clash

Vice president of Zamalek, Hisham Nasr, has declared his outfit readiness for the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup semifinals first leg clash against CR Belouizdad.

The Egyptian giants’ travels to Algeria for the crucial first leg encounter on Friday, April 10 before the reverse clash at the Cairo international Stadium on April 17, 2026.

Upon arrival, Hisham Nasr has declared that his outfit is ready to take on their Algerian counterparts in the high-stakes clash.

“We studied CR Belouizdad well during their match against Al-Masry, and it became clear to us that they are a strong team. For our part, we are ready for the match, and I wish Zamalek success, of course.” He told Algerian newspaper Al-Nahar.

“We received a wonderful welcome, and we thank the officials of CR Belouizdad for facilitating everything. We hope that the match will be, above all, between brothers and friends, and that the competition will be limited to the field only.”

The two-legged encounter will be crucial for both teams, as they battle to secure a place in the final of the 2025/2026 CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
