Nabil Kouki has left his position as head coach of Al Masry SC, the club confirmed on Tuesday, following a request from the Tunisian manager to step down.

The Egyptian side announced that the decision to part ways came directly at the initiative of Kouki, bringing an early end to his tenure with the club. No further details were disclosed regarding the reasons behind his request.

Kouki had only taken charge of Al Masry in June 2025, marking a relatively short spell in charge of the team.

His appointment was part of the club’s efforts to strengthen its technical bench ahead of the new season, with expectations of improved performances under his leadership.

However, less than a year into his role, the working relationship has now come to an end.

The club’s statement made clear that the separation was amicable and driven by the coach’s own decision rather than internal restructuring or dismissal.

During his time at Al Masry, Kouki oversaw the team through a period of transition, although the club has not yet indicated who will take over managerial duties on either an interim or permanent basis.

The departure leaves Al Masry searching for a new head coach as preparations continue for upcoming fixtures.

The club is expected to provide further updates in due course regarding its next steps on the technical front.

Kouki’s exit adds to the ongoing movement of coaching staff within regional football, as clubs continue to adjust their leadership structures in pursuit of stability and results.
