Arsenal are preparing to make a significant move for Christian Kofane after the young forward’s impressive performances for Bayer Leverkusen and the national team attracted growing interest.

Reports indicate that the Premier League club are ready to submit an official offer as they position themselves at the front of the race for the 19-year-old.

Interest in the Cameroonian international has intensified in recent months, with his development at club level and contributions on the international stage drawing attention from several European sides.

According to sources, a fee in the region of €70 million has been suggested as a possible figure that could prompt Bayer Leverkusen to consider a sale.

However, Kofane’s agent, Eric Depolo, is understood to value the player significantly higher, placing his price tag at €100 million.

While Bayern Munich have been linked with a number of attacking options, they are reportedly not pursuing Kofane and are instead focused on extending the contract of Harry Kane. This development leaves Arsenal competing with other interested clubs, including FC Barcelona and Newcastle United, for the player’s signature.

Kofane remains under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 30 June 2029, placing the German club in a strong negotiating position.

Despite his current market valuation being estimated at €40 million, his performances this season have significantly increased his appeal and potential transfer value.

The forward has featured in 40 matches across all competitions, contributing seven goals and eight assists.

His output, combined with his age and versatility, has made him one of the emerging talents to watch in European football.
