Jeremy Doku insists Manchester City still have every reason to believe they can turn their Champions League tie around against Real Madrid at the Etihad.

Speaking ahead of the round of 16 second leg, the winger made it clear the heavy 3-0 defeat in Spain has not shaken the squad’s confidence.

“It would be crazy if I said we had no chance. Of course, they have a very strong team, but we know they scored three goals against us, so why can’t we?” Doku said when asked about City’s hopes of a comeback. He stressed the importance of the home crowd, adding: “At the Etihad, we need our fans to put the pressure on them. In football, anything is possible, so we still believe.”

The decisive second leg will be played on Tuesday, March 17, with City needing a big performance to overturn Real Madrid’s first-leg advantage. With Doku and his teammates publicly embracing the challenge, the stage is set for a dramatic night under the lights in Manchester.
