'I’m in career-best form' - Vinicius Junior warns Man City

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has sent a clear message to Manchester City as the two sides prepare to clash in the Champions League round of 16.

After another standout performance in the La Liga win over Celta Vigo, Vini Jr insists he is operating at the peak of his powers.

“I feel like I’m in the best form of my life,” the Brazilian star said. He credited his consistency to daily hard work alongside the coaching staff and teammates, highlighting his growing confidence both in scoring and contributing defensively.

“I work hard every day with the staff and my teammates to maintain this level. I feel confident in front of goal and strong enough to help the team both defensively and offensively,” he added.

Despite admitting to some fatigue following a busy schedule, Vini Jr emphasized the importance of maintaining intensity against elite opposition.

“I was a bit tired in this match. I’ve played a lot of games in the last few days, but you always have to be prepared,” he said. The forward’s commitment to maintaining his form reflects Real Madrid’s broader focus as they aim to challenge one of Europe’s strongest sides.

Looking ahead to the first-leg at the Santiago Bernabéu, Vini Jr stressed that Real Madrid will need to field their best performance.

“We need our best version against City. With everyone’s support, we really need them,” he said, underscoring the importance of both fan support and collective effort.
