PSG receive major boost as Franco-Malian star Ousmane Dembélé set for injury return ahead of key fixtures

France international of Malian descent Ousmane Dembélé is on the verge of making his return to action for Paris Saint‑Germain after few days on the sidelines, handing the French champions a timely boost ahead of their crucial fixtures.

The 28-year-old winger has not featured since February 17 when PSG edged AS Monaco 3-2 in Ligue 1. Dembélé was forced off inside the opening 30 minutes of that encounter after sustaining an injury, having already been dealing with minor fitness concerns in the build-up to the match.

Despite the discomfort, the French international had been named in the starting lineup, but the setback ultimately ruled him out of PSG’s subsequent matches. Throughout the season, Dembélé has struggled to maintain consistent fitness, with injuries repeatedly interrupting his campaign.

However, according to reports from Le Parisien, the forward has now resumed full training and is expected to be included in PSG’s matchday squad when they face Monaco again on Friday night at the Parc des Princes.

The meeting will mark the third clash between the two sides in less than a month, adding extra intrigue to the encounter as PSG aim to maintain their momentum in the league.

Dembélé’s return could also prove vital ahead of PSG’s upcoming European assignment. The French club are preparing for a high-stakes showdown against Chelsea FC in the UEFA Champions League next week, and the winger’s availability would significantly strengthen their attacking options.

With the business end of the season approaching, PSG will be hoping Dembélé can quickly regain rhythm and stay fit as they chase success both domestically and in Europe.
