Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Mohammed Camara earns Guinea call up for Togo and Benin friendlies

Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Mohammed Camara is set for another international spell after earning a place in the Guinea squad for the upcoming friendly matches against Togo and Benin.

The 25-year-old shot stopper, who has already capped twice for the Syli National of Guinea has been outstanding for the Porcupine Warriors in the ongoing campaign despite the club’s inconsistent performance.

His outstanding display did not go unnoticed, earning him a place in the Guinea squad for the March international break.

“Our goalkeeper, Mohammed Camara has been called up by the Syli National Team of Guinea for the next international friendly matches against Togo and Benin” wrote the club.

Guinea will take on Togo on March 27 before locking horns with the Cheetahs of Benin on March 31, 2026. Camara will depart Ghana to link up with his teammates when the officially begin camping for the upcoming international friendly matches.

This season, Camara has made 22 appearances for the Ghanaian giants, conceding 17 goals and keeping 13 clean sheets across competitions.

Camara joined Asante Kotoko in summer 2024, with his current contract with the Porcupine Warriors expected to elapse at the end of the season.
