Manchester United set €30m price tag on Cameroon keeper Andre Onana

Manchester United are prepared to sell Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana at the end of his loan spell with Trabzonspor, with the Premier League club reportedly valuing him at around €30m.

The 29-year-old is not expected to remain in Turkey beyond the current campaign, and there are no plans for him to return to Old Trafford.

Reports suggest United intend to secure a permanent transfer during the next window as they reshape their squad.

Onana joined Trabzonspor on loan in search of regular playing time, but his season in the Turkish top flight has produced mixed results.

After an encouraging start between the posts, his form dipped in the early months of the year, most notably during a defeat to Fenerbahçe SK, where he faced criticism for his performance.

However, the Cameroonian has also delivered decisive displays. In a recent victory over Gaziantep FK, he played a pivotal role, producing several crucial saves to secure the result.

Those performances have underlined his experience and shot-stopping ability, even as speculation over his future intensifies.

Despite those contributions, Trabzonspor are not believed to be willing to activate the option to make the deal permanent. The goalkeeper himself is understood to favour a move elsewhere in Europe rather than extending his stay in Turkey.

A return to Italy has been mentioned as a possible outcome, with Inter Milan reportedly among the clubs linked with his name. Onana previously played in Serie A, and such a move would represent a familiar environment as he looks to stabilise his career.

For Manchester United, the situation appears clear. The club have no intention of reintegrating the Cameroon international into their plans and are instead focused on completing a sale.

With an asking price set at approximately €30m, United hope to reach an agreement swiftly once the transfer window opens.

As the season draws to a close, Onana’s next destination remains uncertain. What is clear, however, is that his future lies away from both Turkey and Manchester, with a fresh chapter in European football now the most likely outcome.
