Danish-Nigerian defender Patrick Dorgu making progress in recovery
Denmark international of Nigerian descent Patrick Dorgu is making steady progress on his recovery from injury, coming as a huge boost for Manchester United.
Dorgu, who has been out of action for weeks has started strength and conditioning work at the Carrington training ground. He is working closely with the medical staff and strictly following his individual rehabilitation plan to rejoin the squad as soon as possible.
The injury initially appeared minor, but scans revealed a more serious issue just before a Premier League match against Fulham FC. Interim manager Michael Carrick commented at the time:
“Unfortunately, Pat will be out for a period of time. At first, we hoped it was just cramp, but scans revealed a more serious issue. It’s disappointing for all of us, especially considering the fantastic form he was in.”
This season, Dorgu has been an influential figure for the Red Devils, featuring in 24 matches across all competitions, contributing three goals and three assists. His presence in midfield has been integral to Manchester United’s campaign, making his recovery a priority for the club.
Physiotherapists and the club’s medical staff are working intensively to accelerate his return, and if progress continues at the current rate, Dorgu could rejoin the squad in time for crucial upcoming fixtures. Fans will be hopeful that the Danish international can quickly regain full fitness and resume the form that has made him a standout performer this season.
