Raja Casablanca have been dealt a fresh injury blow after medical examinations confirmed that midfielder Adam Nafati has sustained a partial tear to the adductor muscle in his left thigh.
The club disclosed that the injury was detected following tests conducted after their most recent outing.
According to the club’s update, Nafati is expected to be out of action for approximately three weeks. During this period, he will follow a specialised treatment and rehabilitation programme under the close supervision of the medical team, with a gradual return to full group training depending on how his recovery progresses.
The timing of the injury is particularly concerning given the midfielder’s key role in Raja’s attacking structure and creative build-up.
Nafati was forced off in the 30th minute of the first half during Raja’s clash with hosts Ittihad Yaqoub Al Mansour after picking up the injury. He was replaced by Muath Al Dahak in a change that disrupted the team’s attacking rhythm, with the Green Eagles clearly missing one of their most influential playmakers in midfield.
The setback arrives at a delicate moment for Raja, who have struggled to find consistency since the league resumed. Their recent run has produced just one win, which came against Renaissance Athletic Zemamra, alongside draws with Union Touarga and Union Yaacoub El Mansour, as well as a defeat to Club Meknès.
The mixed results have increased pressure on the side to quickly rediscover their winning touch ahead of the decisive phase of the season.
Nafati’s absence further complicates matters for the technical team, who must now identify suitable alternatives capable of sustaining Raja’s attacking efficiency and overall stability.
With little room for error at this stage of the campaign, the club will be hoping for a swift recovery as they await the midfielder’s return to bolster the squad when it matters most.
