Matchday 18 of the Egyptian Premier League ended with Al‑Ittihad Alexandria Club defeating Smouha SC, while two other fixtures finished level on Monday.

Three games were played across the country, with Modern Sport FC drawing against Kahrabaa Ismailia SC and ENPPI SC sharing the points with National Bank of Egypt SC in a goalless encounter.

Modern Sport held after late drama

At Al-Sekka Al-Hadid Stadium, the match between Modern Sport and Kahrabaa Ismailia produced chances from the outset.

The visitors pressed aggressively early on, while the hosts relied on counter-attacks and their goalkeeper’s interventions to remain level.

Just before the break, Khaled Reda was sent off in added time, leaving one side reduced to ten men but with the score still 0-0.

The breakthrough arrived in the 64th minute when Benjamin Boateng finished a move created by Hassan El Shazly to put Kahrabaa Ismailia ahead.

Modern Sport responded 13 minutes later through Godwin Chika, restoring parity.

Deep into stoppage time, Ali Sulieman missed a penalty that might have secured victory for the visitors.

Modern Sport sit 10th with 22 points, while Kahrabaa Ismailia remain 20th on 12.

Al-Ittihad claim narrow win

Al-Ittihad Alexandria began strongly against Smouha, striking the post in the eighth minute through Youssry Wahid before Pape Badji forced a close-range save soon after.

A goal by Mabululu was later ruled out following a VAR review as the first half ended scoreless.

The decisive moment came in the 76th minute when Abdelrahman Magdy fired a left-footed shot from outside the area into the bottom corner.

Smouha pushed forward with crosses and long-range attempts, but disciplined defending preserved the 1-0 victory.

The win lifts Al-Ittihad to 15th place with 17 points, while Smouha remain sixth on 25.

ENPPI and National Bank share points

ENPPI and National Bank of Egypt produced a match of few clear chances.

Ziad Kamal tested the goalkeeper from distance in the 15th minute and Ahmed Reda was denied ten minutes later.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with possession changing hands but neither defence broken.

The match ended 0-0, leaving National Bank ninth with 22 points and ENPPI 11th with 21.

Matchday 18 therefore concluded with only one winning side, as tight contests dominated the latest round of fixtures.
