Paris Saint-Germain teenager Ibrahim Mbaye is attracting interest from Aston Villa after a breakthrough season, with reports suggesting the Premier League club are considering a move for the Senegal international.
Mbaye, 18, has emerged as one of PSG’s notable young options this campaign, earning regular involvement in Luis Enrique’s attacking rotation.
His development has coincided with growing attention from abroad following his recent success with Senegal and a string of senior appearances in Paris.
The winger has featured 23 times in all competitions, including 10 starts, establishing himself as a credible option despite fierce competition for places.
His progress was briefly interrupted by international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, which sidelined him for close to a month. On returning, he quickly worked his way back into the squad, reinforcing his standing within the team.
Interest from England has intensified as clubs monitor his trajectory. According to The Athletic, Aston Villa — currently third in the Premier League — are preparing to revisit their pursuit during the next summer transfer window.
The club had tracked Mbaye previously but were unable to formalise a move due to financial limitations. Those constraints are now understood to be less restrictive, prompting renewed consideration of a potential bid.
PSG, however, appear determined to retain the forward. Mbaye recently signed a contract extension running until June 2028, signalling the French champions’ intention to safeguard a player viewed internally as one of their most promising assets.
His long-term deal places the club in a strong negotiating position should external interest translate into formal offers.
Other English sides are also said to be observing Mbaye’s progress, including Chelsea, underlining the level of scrutiny surrounding his performances.
Despite that attention, PSG’s stance suggests they are reluctant to part with a player whose trajectory aligns with their broader focus on developing young talent.
For now, Mbaye’s immediate future remains tied to Paris, where he continues to balance domestic responsibilities with his expanding international profile.
Any transfer developments are likely to unfold in the coming months, as clubs weigh investment against PSG’s resolve to keep hold of their emerging winger.
