AFC Bournemouth winger Amine Adli has set sights on a sensational return to the Moroccan national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup tournament.
Adli, who joined Premier League outfit AFC Bournemouth last summer missed out on coach Walid Regragui’s final squad for the 2025 AFCON tournament due to limited game time.
In his absence, the Atlas Lion managed to reach the final of the continental showpiece, where they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Senegal in a chaotic final last month.
Having rediscovered his form, the enterprising attacker has set sights on returning to the team as they gears up for the global showpiece, to be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
“I was very sad not to play in the Africa Cup of Nations, but the national team has a strong group, and I wasn’t playing much at that time.” He told Bournemouth’s official website.
Meanwhile, Adli has set sights on a making a return to the national team as the World Cup approaches.
“If I perform well, maybe I’ll be back before the World Cup. That’s my biggest motivation.” He said.
This season, Adli has made 21 appearances for Bournemouth in the English Premier League, scoring two goals and delivering two assists.
