Renaissance Sportive de Berkane have taken disciplinary action following their 3-0 defeat to Pyramids FC in Egypt during the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
In an official statement, the club confirmed that president Abdelhakim Benabdallah held a meeting with the head coach and first-team players to assess the team’s overall performance.
The discussion covered the club’s showing after six rounds of the professional league as well as their continental campaign, with particular focus on the disappointing result in the most recent match.
The meeting also addressed key issues related to the team’s ambitions for the remainder of the season, with emphasis placed on collective responsibility and commitment to the objectives set by the club.
As part of the decisions taken, RS Berkane announced that midfielder Mohamed El Morabit has been isolated from the squad until he appears before the club’s disciplinary council. The move follows repeated disciplinary breaches attributed to the player.
The management concluded by expressing appreciation to the club’s supporters for their unwavering backing, while stressing that unity and collective effort will be essential in the coming phase to restore positive results.
