French football icon Karim Benzema has ignited outrage among Al-Ittihad supporters after completing a surprise transfer to Saudi giants Al-Hilal, turning what was once a symbol of pride into a scene of protest.

He had already shown dissatisfaction by requesting to miss matches, including fixtures against Al-Fateh and Al-Najma, signaling his growing disconnect with the club’s management.
Al-Hilal’s acquisition of the 38-year-old striker sends a clear message to rivals, adding an experienced forward capable of influencing both domestic and continental campaigns.
Transfermarkt estimates Benzema’s market value at around €6 million, underlining the strategic investment for the Riyadh-based side.
