Ivory Coast winger Severin Nioulé is being linked with a move from Swedish side Häcken to Belgian outfit R Charleroi SC, with the Jupiler Pro League club reported to be monitoring the 20-year-old’s situation closely.

The rumour, emerging from transfer listings in Sweden and Belgium, suggests Charleroi are exploring a deal for the left-sided attacker, though the probability of the move remains officially unclear and is currently listed as “?”. With no contract expiry information publicly available for Nioulé at Häcken, observers have also speculated about the possibility of the player’s status changing in future windows, potentially opening the door to a low-cost or even free transfer scenario.

Nioulé’s current market value is estimated at €400,000, reflecting a steady rise since his arrival in Europe. That valuation is likely to appeal to Charleroi as they weigh up a move for a relatively inexpensive, development-friendly signing from the Allsvenskan.

Born in Abidjan on 3 March 2005, Nioulé came through at Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas before joining Häcken on 31 July 2023. Primarily a left winger, he is listed as playing in an attacking role on that flank, offering pace and direct running from wide areas. He represents Côte d’Ivoire and has built his reputation between the Ivorian domestic game and Sweden’s top flight.

Having moved from ASEC Mimosas to Häcken, Nioulé has already experienced one step up in level and visibility, with his performances in the Allsvenskan drawing increased attention. A switch to Charleroi would place him in the Jupiler Pro League, a division known for polishing young African talents before further moves across Europe.

If the transfer does materialise, it could be a pivotal stage in Nioulé’s career, giving him a new platform in Belgium to enhance his reputation and test his potential in a more heavily scouted league.
