Laurent Blanc, the new coach of PSG, has had a challenging start to the season with two consecutive draws, both with a score of 1-1, against Montpellier and Ajaccio. Despite the early setbacks, Blanc remains ambitious about the team’s objectives.
Blanc emphasized that the goal for PSG is to win everything and that finishing second would not be considered a success. He outlined clear objectives, aiming to perform well in all competitions contested by PSG. Regarding the Champions League, he expressed the desire to at least match or surpass the team’s performance from the previous season, stating that Paris has the potential to win the prestigious competition.
Interestingly, despite earlier statements about wanting to offload players, Blanc mentioned the possibility of recruiting if the opportunity arises. He suggested that if there is time left in the transfer window and the right quality player becomes available, PSG might consider adding reinforcements.
The remarks come after former sporting director Leonardo, who left the club a few weeks prior, stated that PSG has the best attack in the world. The coach’s comments reflect a mix of ambition, acknowledgment of challenges, and a readiness to adapt the squad if needed.
