Al-Ahly have set clear financial conditions for any potential move that would allow Bilal Attia to continue his career in Spain, according to media reports in Egypt.
The club’s stance was revealed by television presenter Khaled El-Ghandour, who said Al-Ahly are open to the idea of the young player joining Spanish side Real Racing, but only under specific terms designed to protect the club’s interests.
Speaking on his programme “Stadium of the Axis”, El-Ghandour explained that Al-Ahly would agree to a loan move at no initial cost, provided the deal includes a mandatory purchase clause valued at $1.2m.
The approach reflects Al-Ahly’s desire to balance sporting considerations with financial planning, ensuring the club secures maximum benefit from one of its promising talents while allowing the player to gain experience abroad.
The proposed move would offer Attia the opportunity to test himself in Spanish football and continue his development at a professional level.
Attia’s progress has attracted attention following his performances with Egypt’s youth national team, particularly during the Under-17 World Cup held in Qatar, where he delivered a series of impressive displays.
Those performances have raised his profile and increased interest from clubs outside Egypt.
At present, the player is also exploring opportunities elsewhere in Europe.
Attia is undergoing a trial period with German side Hannover, as he continues to assess his options ahead of the next stage of his career.
He has previously spent time on trial with Stuttgart, where his performances reportedly made a strong impression on officials responsible for the club’s youth development programme.
Despite the growing interest from abroad, Al-Ahly remain keen to manage the situation carefully.
By insisting on a clearly defined purchase clause, the club aims to safeguard its long-term interests while supporting the player’s ambition to gain exposure in one of Europe’s competitive leagues.
No final decision has yet been announced, and discussions are expected to continue as Attia weighs his future.
For now, Al-Ahly’s position underlines its intent to remain firmly in control of any move, ensuring that both the club and the player benefit from any agreement reached.
