Nigeria and Fulham winger Samuel Chukwueze has lost his mother, Mrs. Sarah Chukwueze.
The news, while not confirmed by Samuel himself, was shared by his brother, David Chukwueze, through heartfelt posts on Instagram.
David’s messages reflected the family’s deep grief and struggle to come to terms with the loss.
In one post, he wrote, “Can’t even post your picture to say RIP mum,” while another read, “My forever love just left me without saying goodbye.”
He also lamented that their mother “didn’t even carry your grandchild.”
Details regarding her illness have not been made public.
Chukwueze, who represented the Super Eagles at the recent Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where Nigeria secured third place, has not yet commented publicly on his mother’s passing.
The tragedy follows closely on the heels of another loss for the Super Eagles, with captain Wilfred Ndidi mourning his father, Sunday Ndidi, who died in a road accident in Delta State just two days ago.
