Morocco has confirmed the four stadiums that will host the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, with matches set to be staged across three cities when the tournament begins on 17 March.

The competition will take place in Rabat, Casablanca and Fes, with the capital playing a central role by hosting two of the four groups.

The announcement provides clarity on venues as teams prepare for a tournament that promises both continuity and change at the top of African women’s football.

Defending champions Nigeria will return to the continental stage seeking to extend their dominance, but several nations are positioning themselves as serious challengers.

South Africa, Zambia, Morocco, Senegal and Ghana are all aiming to lift the trophy and bring an end to the Super Falcons’ long-standing reign.

Rabat will host Groups A and B. The host nation’s matches will be played at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium, a venue expected to be at the heart of local interest throughout the group phase.

Group B fixtures will take place at the Al Madina Stadium, with South Africa’s Banyana Banyana leading the group’s competitive line-up in the capital.

Casablanca will stage Group C, which includes the reigning champions. All matches in that section will be played at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium, placing Nigeria and their group rivals in one of the country’s most prominent footballing centres.

Group D will be based in Fes, where Ghana, Cameroon, Mali and Cape Verde will contest their matches at the Fes Stadium.

The grouping brings together teams with contrasting ambitions, ranging from title aspirations to the pursuit of experience at the highest level.

Beyond the established contenders, the tournament will also provide an opportunity for emerging sides to test themselves against Africa’s elite.

For several teams, the 2026 edition represents a chance to build momentum, gain exposure and create moments that could reshape the competitive balance of the women’s game on the continent.

With venues now confirmed and the group allocations tied to specific cities, attention will turn to preparations on and off the pitch.

Morocco’s hosting of the tournament across multiple locations reflects a growing commitment to women’s football and sets the stage for a competition that blends ambition, rivalry and the pursuit of continental glory.
