TP Mazembe have officially ended their working relationship with head coach Lamine Ndiaye, bringing to a close weeks of speculation surrounding the Senegalese manager’s future at the Congolese giants.

The Lubumbashi-based club confirmed on Thursday that Ndiaye would not continue in his role, with his final match in charge ending in a 2-1 victory away to Sanga Balende.

Although reports of his imminent exit had circulated for some time, the club’s statement marks the first formal confirmation from management.

In an announcement released through its official communication channels, TP Mazembe detailed the circumstances surrounding the decision and paid tribute to the departing coaching staff.

“TP Mazembe’s management announces the end of its collaboration with coach Lamine Ndiaye, who led his last match in the victory against Sanga Balende (1-2).

The coach informed the players of his departure after the match.

The same applies to Alexandre Jurain.

The management thanks Lamine Ndiaye and Alexandre Jurain for their commitment and contribution to the club and wishes them every success in their future endeavors ,” the Congolese club announced this Thursday.

The statement confirms that Ndiaye personally addressed the squad following the match to inform them of his departure, bringing an immediate end to his tenure on the bench.

Assistant coach Alexandre Jurain is also leaving the club as part of the changes.

Ndiaye’s exit signals the conclusion of a chapter that carries significant historical weight for TP Mazembe.

The Senegalese coach has previously been associated with some of the club’s most memorable achievements, including successes that elevated Mazembe’s reputation beyond African football and onto the global stage.

While the club did not outline the reasons behind the decision or comment on future plans, the announcement suggests a mutual conclusion to the partnership rather than a sudden dismissal.

The respectful tone of the message underlines the value the club places on Ndiaye’s past service and his contribution during his time in charge.

TP Mazembe, one of Africa’s most decorated clubs, are expected to begin the process of appointing a new head coach as they look to build on recent performances and maintain their status as a dominant force in Congolese and continental football.

For now, attention turns to what lies ahead for both the club and Ndiaye, whose departure closes another chapter in a long and notable association with the five-time African champions.
