Moroccan full-back Achraf Hakimi has been suspended for two official CAF matches, with one of those matches conditionally suspended for one year from the date of the decision, a measure that underlines CAF’s view of his conduct without fully sidelining him long-term.

Midfielder Ismaël Saibari has received a heavier punishment: a three-match suspension for unsporting behavior, underlining the Board’s concern over his actions during the tense final.

On top of this, Saibari has been fined 100,000 US dollars, a clear warning about individual responsibility at the highest level.

Their national federation, the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football, has also been hit financially. CAF fined the FRMF 200,000 US dollars over the inappropriate behavior of ball boys during the final, and a further 100,000 US dollars after players and technical staff invaded the VAR review area and obstructed the referee’s work, in violation of fair play and integrity provisions.

An additional 15,000 US‑dollar fine was imposed due to the use of lasers by Moroccan supporters, adding to a costly and controversial night for Moroccan football and its leading talents.
