Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sphelele Mkhulise has committed to the club by signing a new deal despite lack of playing time.
The 29-year-old South African player penned a contract that will keep him at the Brazilians until summer 2027. The new deal signals the club’s trust in the enterprising midfielder.
However, Sphelele Mkhulise, has expressed his joy after signing a new contract with the South African football heavyweights.
“There is no other place where I wanted to be besides Mamelodi Sundowns, this is my home,” Mkhulise said,
“I love the team, I support the team and I feel the love of the supporters, the chairman, the president and everyone. It was a no-brainer for me.”
The midfielder was handed a starting role against Sekhukhune United in the 2-0 win in the Premiership match played at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
With this new deal, the South African midfielder will be hoping to command regular starting role at Mamelodi Sundowns.
