Wydad Athletic Club is set to welcome Bolivian international Ramiro Vaca to its training sessions as part of the club’s active winter transfer window.
The midfielder is expected to arrive in Casablanca on Wednesday after signing a contract for three and a half seasons, with the option of an additional year, following his move from Bolivian side Bolívar.
Vaca will begin a tailored training program at Wydad’s club complex, designed to help him adapt to the team’s technical and physical environment.
This process will continue while the Red Team’s delegation is away in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where they are scheduled to face Maniema Union on Sunday in the fourth round of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
The 26-year-old midfielder becomes the second Bolivian to join Wydad, following his compatriot Moises Benkawa, who arrived last week and closely followed the team’s recent match against Maniema Union in the third round of the group stage.
Ramiro Vaca, who primarily operates in midfield, has previously played for clubs such as The Strongest in Bolivia and Beerschot in Belgium, before joining Bolívar, where he gained both local and continental experience and impressed with his technical abilities.
Vaca’s signing is part of Wydad Athletic Club’s strategy to bolster its squad during the winter transfer period.
The club has already added several key players, including French forward Wissam Ben Yedder, Moises Benkawa, Ayman El Wafi, Naim Bayar, Salah Eddine Moussadek, Nabil Khali, and Hakim Ziyech, reflecting management’s commitment to strengthening the team and increasing competitiveness ahead of domestic and continental competitions.
