Zuhair Dari, father of Al-Ahly defender Ashraf Dari, has addressed recent speculation surrounding his son’s future, criticizing media outlets for spreading misinformation that he says has caused unnecessary stress for the player.
In a televised interview, Dari said, “I haven’t spoken to any media in the past few hours, and I’ve had to block around 30 journalists because of false reports.”
He added, “I’m disappointed with the state of the Egyptian press. They have created major psychological pressure for Ashraf by circulating false reports about injuries when he was in full health at Al-Ahly.”
On his son’s potential moves, Dari confirmed, “We hold Al-Ahly in high regard and agreed with the club on a loan move for Ashraf. Currently, we have two offers from France, one from the Netherlands, and two from the Gulf. We will decide on the next step in coordination with Al-Ahly, and terminating his contract is not being considered at this time.”
He concluded, “Ashraf respects Al-Ahly and its supporters and wants to ensure he leaves the club on good terms.”
