Al Ahly are on the brink of securing the signature of Palestinian forward Mohamed Mahmoud in the current winter transfer window.
The Egyptian powerhouse have finalized an agreement German club Elversberg for the acquisition of the 20-year-olf attacker, marking a significant step on his football career.
Mahmoud will arrive in Cairo in the next two days to undergo his mandatory medical examination before putting pen to paper at Al Ahly.
The highly-rated attacker will be registered in Al Ahly’s squad as an under-age player. He is under contract with Elversburg until June 30, 2027, giving the club great flexibility in negotiations should official offers arrive to sign him.
Mahmoud had a loan spell with the Swiss team Zurich under 21, which lasted from February 2025 until the end of last June. This contributed to developing his technical level and gave him early exposure at the international level.
Al Ahly have been busy on the transfer market, capturing the signature of Marwan Othman, Ahmed Eid, Youssef Belamri, and Amr El Gazz.
