Wydad head into the match in high spirits after securing an important victory over Maniema Union in the third round.
The Casablanca-based side edged their Congolese opponents by a single goal last Sunday evening at the Mohammed V Stadium, with right-back Mohamed Mufid scoring the decisive goal in the 81st minute.
That result has strengthened Wydad’s position at the top of the group standings, where they currently sit on nine points after three matches.
Maniema Union follow closely in second place with six points, while Azam of Tanzania have three points and Nairobi United remain bottom of the group without a point.
Wydad will face Maniema Union on Sunday at 1 pm, aiming to consolidate their lead and continue their impressive run in the competition.
The Red Castle side began their campaign with a dominant 3-0 win over Nairobi United before securing a vital away victory against Azam in Tanzania during the second round.
With qualification firmly within reach, Wydad will be determined to maintain their momentum and take another decisive step toward the knockout stages of the tournament.
